Classroom and Behind The Wheel
“Minnesota-approved Driver Education Classes”. Classroom training is 30 hours of course study mandated by the State of Minnesota to prepare your student for earning a Learner’s Permit in preparation for Behind-the-Wheel training.

Houston Community Education offers “Minnesota-approved Driver Education Classes”.   Classroom training is 30 hours of course study mandated by the State of Minnesota to prepare your student for earning a Learner’s Permit in preparation for Behind-the-Wheel training.  Once registered, students are assigned a textbook and a workbook.  Students should be prepared to read assigned chapters, and complete workbook pages prior to the beginning of class.

We have coordinated with fall coaches regarding athletic practice schedules and have made every effort to schedule around other school events currently on the calendar.  Although one make-up session will be scheduled, it is imperative for students to attend regularly scheduled classes. If you must miss one class, it should be for a true emergency, or be pre-arranged with the instructor.  If more than one class is missed, mandated hours will not be completed and student will be required to re-take all 30 hours of classroom and tuition is forfeited.
